Today, we visited Rinca Island, another island in Komodo National Park and this time saw a couple of much livelier dragons. This is a juvenile that our guides estimated at about 3 years of age. As he ran by, he was flicking his tongue out to detect smells.
Note: I have been without Internet for more than 24 hours, but we are now in Bali with good Internet.

[] Thanks! Our guide told us that the dragon’s forked tongue allows him to know the direction the smell is coming from, which is amazing to me.

[] There were three rangers with us and we were told to stay five meters away from the dragons, which we all did. But they have attacked humans on occasion.

[] Exactly - like some kind of dinosaur, maybe 😉
